Replenish Earth was incorporated on 30 November 2016. This month it turns ten, and I want to celebrate the only way that feels honest: by showing the work.

So every day until the birthday there is one project from our past projects on Instagram and LinkedIn: what was asked, what we did, what it changed, what it taught. Everything is checked against the documents.

The record starts before the company did. In 2009 I presented a case study on community architecture, health and wealth at McGill. In 2010 I was developing a post-occupancy method for the Masdar Institute. In 2012 I was writing a strategy to take Gross National Happiness to the United Nations. That work belongs to the road to Replenish Earth, and I’m looking forward to sharing more about this journey.

Day by day

This list grows by one line a day until 30 November. Follow along on Instagram and LinkedIn.

Day 1, Tuesday 3 November: the announcement. Twenty-eight days to go.

Coming this week

Story of Space, Goa, 2017 (4 November); Talks at Google, 2017 (5 November); the idea of net positive (6 November); the talk (7 November); IIT Kharagpur, 2021, on Diwali (8 November).

Week 2, with COP31 in Antalya: the UNFCCC Resilience Lab at COP26, Masdar City, the World Replenish Index in Thimphu, the COP26 Innovation Hub panel, Seven Layers Deep.

The body of work

For anyone who wants the long version: Replenish, the new economy (Talks at Google, 2017); the World Replenish Index (7th International Conference on Gross National Happiness, 2017); the Flinders Investigator Lecture, Replenish: a philosophy, a cause and action (2017); Lecture 6, Epigenetics of Wellbeing (IIT Kharagpur, 2021); Replenish (TEDxSanFrancisco, 2016); Replenish: Giving our Earth more than we take (TEDxPenn); my UCL thesis on thermal comfort in transitional environments; and Introducing Nervous System Compliant Design (April 2026).

If you are new here, two pieces that explain how the work turned into a method: The Body Knew First and Triggered People in Triggering Places.
